It’s the Caribbean’s name for the taro. The dachine is from the same family of the tubers as the taro. Having lengthened or having rounded up form and size remind of those of the celery-turnip. It is of brown colour outside but its flesh is white or grey. They also call it cabbage of China (chou de chine)
